Client's Vision: Making Kitchen Showrooms Smarter

Our journey with the KBB Suite project began with an innovative client from New Jersey. With years of experience running a kitchen showroom, they envisioned using technology to transform how showrooms across the country operate. Their goal? To make daily tasks easier and businesses more efficient.

Challenges: Updating Traditional Processes

We faced a big task: shifting from old-fashioned, paper-based methods to a smart, digital approach. This was like moving from manual record-keeping to an automated, online system. The challenge was not just in implementing new technology but in tailoring it to the unique needs of kitchen showrooms.

Our Strategy: Learning Before Building

Before diving into development, we spent three weeks thoroughly understanding the kitchen cabinet industry. We used strategic frameworks like BRIDGeS and the Value Proposition Canvas to grasp the core challenges and opportunities. This groundwork was crucial for creating a focused plan for the KBB Suite.

Solution Development: Crafting KBB Suite as a Comprehensive CRM/ERP System

When we set out to create KBB Suite, our mission was to make something truly useful for kitchen showrooms. Our approach wasn't just technical; it was personal and flexible. We held weekly meetings to stay aligned and embraced the Agile methodology, which meant we were always ready to adapt and improve. What really brought our CRM/ERP system to life were the discovery sessions for each new feature — real talks with actual users. Their feedback was gold, guiding us to tweak and refine KBB Suite into a tool that's not just powerful, but also user-friendly and scalable for any business.

Technical Choices: Smart and Scalable

In developing KBB Suite, we opted for a Serverless architecture, balancing scalability with cost-efficiency. We use PostgreSQL for complex data handling and DynamoDB for speed with large volumes. We integrated AWS Cognito to ensure secure access and robust user authentication. To streamline infrastructure management, we employed Terraform, allowing for swift and reliable system adjustments. We've structured our architecture to be service-oriented, with distinct services for various business functions, such as QuickBooks integration. This approach enhances system flexibility and simplifies scaling and updates.

Impact: Transforming the Industry

Launching KBB Suite was a significant milestone. It streamlined operations, making business processes smoother and more efficient. This was a major leap forward not just for our client but for the entire kitchen cabinet industry.

Future-Proofing: Keeping KBB Suite Ahead

In designing KBB Suite, we aimed for longevity and adaptability. The system is built to evolve with changing business needs and industry trends. Our commitment to ongoing support ensures KBB Suite remains a leading-edge solution.
